Tips planting bulbs

1. Choosing bulbs: Select healthy bulbs suited for your site and check for firm, healthy bulbs without damage.
2. Planting Time: Most spring-blooming bulbs should be planted 6-8 weeks before the first frost. Summer-blooming bulbs go in the spring.
3. Select the Location: Ensure soil is well-drained, most bulbs prefer full sun or partial shade depending on variety.
4. Prepare the Soil: Loosen the soil and enrich with compost or organic matter for better root establishment.
5. Planting depth: Plant bulbs at the correct depth (2-3 times their height) space tappropriately to allow for growth.
6. Watering: Water thoroughly after planting, keep the soil lightly moist, and add mulch to retain moisture and protect against the cold.
7. Protect from Animals: Use mulch, wire, or repellents to prevent animals from digging up or eating the bulbs.
8. Care After Planting: Deadhead spent flowers, let foliage die back naturally.
