About

Meadow Orchard Project was set up in spring 2010 on 1.5 acres of Metropolitan Open Land situated behind Hornsey Health Centre in Crouch End. The NHS has designated the land for community use and the site is being managed by volunteers as a community garden, orchard and wildlife meadow.

Opening times

Meadow Orchard Project is open for volunteering and visiting on:
Saturday 12:00pm – 4:00pm
(often later in summer months), plus ad hoc times for events throughout the week

Site Access

The main pathways to the garden area are woodchip. They are suitable for power-driven wheelchairs with sturdy wheels. Unfortunately the pathways around the wildlife meadow are currently narrow, uneven and unsuitable for wheelchairs. Our compost toilet is wheelchair accessible and there are wheelchair accessible toilets in the nearby health centre.

Transport

Local bus W7 from Finsbury Park & Muswell Hill stops outside, other local buses W3, 144, 41 and 91. Nearest tube stations are Finsbury Park and Highgate or Hornsey over-land.
