The Power of Community

By working together, we can truly harness each other’s strengths, share skills, and accomplish so much for the greater good!

As we kick off the growing season, we’ve already achieved so much this year, with many of our volunteers making a real difference in people’s lives. Our shared love of nature, the outdoors, and the power of green space continues to have a profound, positive impact.

We’re always inspired by the way our volunteers step up and by the excitement we feel whenever we receive a new volunteer request. The project is really gaining momentum.

A major highlight this year was our Equinox Fundraiser event. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, the event was a beautiful success, raising over £200 for the project. Our Wednesday volunteer sessions are also feeling like a really vibrant community hub, full of learning and inspiration, and fostering connections among people.

Not wanting to overlook anyone, but we must highlight our Beekeeping Group, which has been doing beautiful outreach work with vulnerable individuals. There’s also been a wonderful community response to the recent Transition Towns relaunch event. It’s heartwarming to see the true sense of community shown by our Home Schooling group. As always, there’s never a shortage of fun, energy, and creativity, with everyone helping each other.

Above all, it’s the ongoing dedication of our volunteers—along with the long hours spent behind the scenes—that makes this project such a success. We’re so grateful for each and every one of them.

“Meadow Orchard isn’t just a space. It’s a community that work together. Thank you for your support and sharing the knowledge of food growing”

“really enjoy getting stuck in, being outdoors, and helping…. Thanks for your bucket/wheelbarrow loads of enthusiasm, imparting great knowledge wisdom – making the volunteering so much fun and relaxed.”
