Amenities onsite

We have a community roundhouse on site for indoor activities and a fire circle covered with a parachute shelter and a workshop space for outdoor activities. There is a community garden and orchard area, plus a polytunnel. We also have a clay pizza oven, outdoor kitchen, composting toilet, and an apiary. Additionally, there are shave horses for green-woodworking and workbenches for outdoor workshops.

Activities

  • Grow food, flowers and herbs in our community garden
  • Care for our fruit trees
  • Wildlife activities in the meadow grassland habitat and woodland
  • Community Composting
  • Eco-building
  • Development and upkeep of the site
  • Apicentric bee-keeping
  • Events, workshops, wellbeing activities, celebrations, arts and crafts
  • Observe and enjoy nature!

Transport

Local bus W7 from Finsbury Park & Muswell Hill stops outside, other local buses W3, 144, 41 and 91. Nearest tube stations are Finsbury Park and Highgate or Hornsey over-land.

Site Access

The main pathways to the garden area are woodchip. They are suitable for power-driven wheelchairs with sturdy wheels. Unfortunately the pathways around the wildlife meadow are currently narrow, uneven and unsuitable for wheelchairs. Our compost toilet is wheelchair accessible and there are wheelchair accessible toilets in the nearby health centre.
